Position: Content Strategist
Salary: 20-30k DOE
Our client is looking for a Content Strategist to join the team in their Brighton office.
To support continued growth in their client portfolio, our client is looking for a talented strategist to join their content team and drive audience growth for a number of key clients. They operate a small, agile team, and you will be given a high level of autonomy to design and execute forward-thinking content strategies, and make your mark on the content marketing landscape.
Skills & profile
The successful candidate will have relevant experience working in an agency setting, client-side, in-house at a publisher, or experience building an audience in a personal capacity. Knowing how to build and maintain an audience will be second nature, and the successful candidate will also have a solid understanding of how search engines work, as well as creative flair.
This is a client-facing role, so the successful candidate must be comfortable and confident dealing with stakeholders of all levels, from marketing executives to CEOs. You must be able to distil complex marketing concepts into simple ideas, and be comfortable making the case for content marketing within organisations which may not understand its potential.
We create bespoke, high quality content strategies for our clients, so it is imperative all applicants understand how to analyse the performance of digital content. An inquisitive mind, and a desire to learn about digital measurement and analytics is essential.

Lives and breathes digital, but appreciates print
A creative storyteller who thinks beyond text and images
Ability to empathise with multiple disparate audiences, and a desire to gain an innate understanding of the needs of each.
Experience with popular content management systems
A good understanding of how data can be used to analyse performance and inform strategy
An ability to work on strategy at a macro level, but also a passion for the minutiae which brings those strategies to life
Excellent skills in Microsoft Office and general IT literacy
Flawless written and spoken English
Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Accountable for the performance of your client portfolio

Able to balance your workload and deliver on time

An eye for, and an understanding of, what makes a good user experience
Highly creative, with experience in photography, video, and interactive digital experiences
Experience with project management and productivity tools
Experience working in a multi-agency environment for large clients
Google Analytics IQ certified
Working closely with our clients Technical SEO consultants to ensure individual pages, and client sites as a whole, are optimised for organic search
Contributing to editorial strategies for clients, including strategy development, contributor management, sub-editing, calendar management, and reporting
Collaborating with our clients Creative team on design, UX and CRO projects
Involvement in wider campaign planning, including all marketing channels
Advocating for content marketing best practice, excellent user experiences, and quality editorial within our clients, face-to-face with clients, and publicly within the industry
Supporting clients through ad hoc requests, and status updates through regular calls, face-to-face meetings, and annual reviews
Aiding team learning through transparency, sharing both successes and failures
Documenting case studies on successful campaigns, ready for publication on our website and entries in industry awards
Contributing to the our clients website through blog posts and presentations
Managing your briefs and deliverables, and keeping our client-facing project management systems 100% up-to-date
